Cinemagraph – Woodwick Candle

Objective:

To create a compelling still photograph animation with minor repeated movements, otherwise known as a cinemagraph without the use of liquid. The cinemagraph will be created to advertise a select product while having a value proposition.

Originally, this cinemagraph involved cigarettes and lighters, however the idea did not work out like planned. However, I still wanted to create a cinemagraph involving something with smoke. That led to working with candles as a substitute instead. In the first version, the smoke was the key factor that was looped to seamlessly.

Conclusion:

This project has reinforced my methodology on how to create  cinemagraphs through the use of photography and video.  The takeaway from this project was that it further reinforced my composition skills and allowed me to explore a new program, Flixel.
